Pleasant Valley Fundraising Programs
Escrip & Community Programs 2007/2008
Support New "Academic Coaching" at PV
All money raised from the programs listed below is allocated to fund our new "Academic Coaching Program" at Pleasant Valley. This "Academic Coaching Program" is new to our campus thanks to PTA funds. This program allows an individual to work 15 to 17 hours a week on campus to assist students who need extra academic support and enrichment. This "Academic Coaching" is a great resource for our students and teachers, so please support all programs that fund this effort.
Please review the following information about the ways to participate. There continues to be constant changes in the various programs and we will do our best to keep you apprised of the new developments. Your participation is the key! Also, please encourage your extended family and friends to participate and to designate Pleasant Valley as their group!
Here is a list of how you can help Pleasant Valley:
Escrip
Escrip stands for "electronic scrip." When you register your debit/credit cards (Mastercard. Visa, American Express, Macys) and Safeway Card* with Escrip, all purchases at parcipating merchants made with the registered cards give credit towards our school whenever you use those cards. THERE IS NO COST TO JOIN AND ESCRIP KEEPS TRACK FOR YOU. You will be helping PV every time you charge with participating vendors on your credit/debit cards or use your Safeway Club card. You can register at www.escrip.com or by mail. Pleasant Valley has the ID #136915186. Forms are available online or in the office.
*Safeway Club cards need to be renewed annually. The deadline is November 1, 2007. You may renew your card by 1.) www.escrip.com and click renew; or 2.) mail the postage paid renewal card that was included in the Escrip Fall "Back School" brochure mailed to you in August.
We will be having a school competition/raffle for this Escrip drive so please see the
enclosed packet for forms and more information.
Escrip Online Mall
For additional shopping online, escrip.com also offers an online shopping portal to many merchants. When you shop at escrip.com online mall PV can earn up to 10% or more, when you shop. Check the website for the list of merchants.
Community Grocery Cards
Albertson's, Bell Market and United Market are not connected with Escrip.com so if you shop at these stores you need to register with them directly.
Albertson's shoppers make sure you use your Preferred Savings Card and designated Pleasant Valley as your "Community Partner." Our Community Partner ID is Pleasant Valley #49000113496. Go to www.albertsons.com and click on "In the Community." Sign in with your Preferred Savings Card and just add PV with our ID number. You only have to register once. If you do not have computer access ask the store for a registration form.
United Market shoppers may pick up Community Cards in the school office or call Cathy Bondanza at 415/897-3726. United Market has restricted their cards to only parents and teachers. A percentage of your purchase made with this card will be given to PV. Checks mailed to us monthly.
Bell Market no longer resides in Novato, but you might have friends or relatives who shop at other locations so please pass along this information. Shoppers must renew your commitment annually. You can only register online at www.ralphs.com (Ralph's is the parent store of Bell) and click on "Community Contribution." Pleasant Valley's NPO number is 84689. Bell will pay us up to 4% of your Club card purchase.
Lucky's (old Albertson's) just opened on 9/28/07 and has developed a new program called S.H.A.R.E.S. PV is in the process of applying for this program and we will let you know when this program is available. Lucky will donate 3% of your purchases to PV.
DeLano's IGA Market only has a "paper scrip" program at this time. They are in the process of setting up "electronic scrip" and once this system is established PV will participate.
School Pop.com
Schoolpop.com is an online website with various vendors. This site includes Amazon, Gap, Target, Hotwire, Expedia, Hilton, United Airlines, Princess Cruise Lines, 1-800- Flowers - just to name a few. PV gets credit for all orders or reservations you place through this website. When placing an order be sure to designate Pleasant Valley with our ID # 0073832. So if you are already ordering or placing reservations online might as well use schoolpop.com so PV gets credit. A list of vendors can be found at the website or in the office. Schoolpop.com sends our school checks annually.
Target VISA
Target has a program called "Target for Education" that donates back a percentage of any credit card sales to a school of your choice. Pick up a form at Target and be sure to designate Pleasant Valley as your school of choice. Target sends our school contributions throughout the year.
PV Nights
Local restaurants and vendors donate back a percentage of gross sales or profits from a designated day/evening set up in advance called "PV Nights." Families are encouraged to patronize the specified vendor on the designated date. Because of PV's business the vendor will donate a percentage back to our school. Some require that you bring in a flyer showing that you are from PV; others just take all orders and donate a percentage.
The focus of these nights is for the kids to have fun and to feel like they are having an active part in helping out our school. Watch for announcements in PV Views and school website.
Toner Cartridge & Cell Phone Recycling
A no cost fundraiser that helps the environment and earns money for Pleasant Valley. Just bring your inkjet, laser or toner cartridges and cell phones to PV and place in the Escrip Recycling collection bins. We ship these items to Escrip Recycling and receive money for each item.
