I grew up in San Rafael with my mom, dad, older brother Paul, and older sister
Becky and identical twin brother Matt (I am four minutes older). I attended
San Pedro Elementary School, until it closed temporarily, Glenwood Elementary
School, Santa Venetia Middle School, until it closed temporarily, Davidson
Middle School and then attended Marin Catholic High School, graduating in
1989. While growing up, I played many sports with tennis and soccer taking up
most of my time. Currently I play competitive tennis, ski, snowboard,
mountain bike, scuba dive, softball and golf.
I received my bachelor's degree and teaching credential from Sacramento State. While at Sacramento State, I had a lot of fun playing division I tennis. This
past year I attended Sonoma State where I received my Administrative
Credential, which means I can be a principal, and am currently half way
through my masters in Educational Leadership.
This will be my 12th year teaching, 9 of which have been at Pleasant Valley.
I have taught three years at 2nd grade, one year at 4th grade, and seven years
at 5th grade. I am looking forward to a great year of fun and learning.
My fiancé Betsy and I will be getting married on September 8, 2007. I know
that this will be during the school year but there are four weddings in my
family this year and it was the only date that worked. We will be
honeymooning in Fiji.
